.... We need young and talented and amazing ideas so different as to mark a new decade of innovation Italian

Servono giovani amanti! Ma come possono questi giovani fare tutto ciò se oggi gli unici obiettivi sono: assomigliare a persone di ...potere, giocare all'esercizio della supremazia, continuare a fingere solidarietà in un "branco" poco solidale, accanirsi con le rare stelle brillanti, giocare con le parole, non accettare that something is not quite so surprisingly in line with what we think, troieggiare ... I really want to shake hands and listen for hours about who really love this ... place.
I want to confront on a table of ideas and not just who is nobody, with those who did nothing and that is so determined to demolish with their own laziness, apathy and the lack of stamina force of those who have talent posing as a professor of philosophy and looks at you with his glasses down his nose.
But who are these uptight and boring designer from 2000 "euros" emerging giants such as toads after a rain?
And then all the same: diplomatic, smiling, never direct, always indirect, touchy, tense with the thought that a fixed idea about the succession, fearful, apparently proud and confident, with great self-esteem out inside with low self-esteem.
resembled more and more confined to a zoo in Via Sparano, where the most "beautiful" make the relay back and forth without stopping to read a book by Laterza.
resembled more and more like a relay race where 'only goal is to transfer their children to poor individual messages of power and supremacy which must then be corrected by the psychotherapist, the "counsellllllor" family, psychiatric drugs and a thousand and five hundred other things to increase self-esteem: anywhere still lacking in these "beautiful" without a walker book Via Sparano.
We need young and talented and amazing ... so many different ideas to mark a new decade. "

Configuring Netgear Dg934g

Nairobi, 21 gennaio 2010
The warden of the Centre can not hear, but it sees me open. In the courtyard of children and young people with disabilities of various kinds, mostly mental. We exchange greetings. After a while, 'here comes a nun who told me to follow her. Sister
Rio arrives with her smile in 3D color, the veil of the Order of Mother Teresa's white gauze blue stripes. The visit lasts two hours. I tell her my life, I'll show photos of Christina, Carla, and his baptism in Embeccio, Ethiopia, February 19, 2000, Father Angelo who plunges into the water.
His eyes shine with joy. He tells me his life. He asks me of my travels in Africa.
Then we visit with the Centre. There is the "human garbage" that nobody wants, physically and mentally handicapped, sick with tuberculosis, AIDS patients, and malformed children born evil, some crazy dangerous. There's the corner for washing clothes and dishes to wash the separated. Every day, prepare food for 150 people, including the poor of the neighborhood, and there is a good smell of onions in the air. The Center is surrounded by a wall with barbed wire: Years ago, I told Sister Rio, "came the bandits, the sisters were brutally beaten, not killed or raped, but they severely beaten. Those sisters were transferred to the shock and now we got us, also there is a wall that protects us. " The center is airy, well built, there is even a small cloister of the first area of the enclosure. We talk a lot and I tell her the center of Mother Teresa of Sidis Kilo, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I will not tell, but there, I remember, the general appearance and the vision of the various rooms were more depressing: the bad smell of sweaty and dirty straw was mixed with a gloomy atmosphere and without hope. There
Addis sister told me that I had accepted that two girls had turned 18 the day before, showed me happy and proud, ma loro non sapevano neanche attraversare la strada, dove mai potevano andare dopo 18 anni nel Centro?
Mentre facevo manovra con la macchina non riuscivo a staccare l’attenzione dal sorriso deep and happy that Sister Rio never stopped thanking me. Around her, a swarm of children sick, twisted arms, a summons, but she smiled as if it were straight out of a successful party, a fabulous feast of sounds and colors. Thank you Sister
Rio.

How Many Eggs Did Discus Fish Lays

Nairobi January 8, 2010 On the morning of January 5, 2010 the sun is shining in the sky blue of Kenya. Mrs. Sharon Brown has placed American Margaux, her daughter a year, in a pouch on his chest and, with her husband, a professor at the International School of Kenya Nairobi, has come out for a quiet stroll along the Castle Forest Lodge Nature Trail, a good hotel just outside the boundaries Mount Kenya National Park. With their guidance accompanying the hotel and several other tourists. The road is well marked and beaten every day by rangers of the hotel and traveled dozens of tourists. Suddenly and without any reason, a female elephant charged the group. All fled back to the hotel and travel, all but poor Mrs. Brown and her child in the carrier. The elephant killed them and their bodies are found in 7 or 8 feet away from each other. I am saddened and shocked by this tragic event.
Scientists speak of "habitat fragmentation" in which they live elephants and the fact that human population growth, coupled with poaching, leads i branchi alla fuga e alla costante perdita di territori.
Quando siamo andati ad Aberdare National Park nella sala dell’Ark, above the welcoming open fire, we noticed the trophy head of a large white rhinoceros. The ranger told us that he had been killed by a female elephant when she saw him get too close to his small (who had started playing with the baby rhino).
There is no animal or car in the world that can withstand the charge of an elephant.
They are the kings of the forest, not the lions.
course, "any animal, as fast, has more speed of a charging lion from a distance of few meters. It 'a step quicker than thought, faster escape of the "Beryl Markham wrote in" West with the Night ", but the progression of an elephant charge is irresistible even for the big cats. The lions move dall'abbeveraggio when the elephants arrive: the boys outside, the females in the intermediate position to give orders, the young, so to speak, in the middle, as I have seen many times before every waterhole.
In thirty years of travel in Africa, I met hundreds and hundreds of elephants: I do not think that they can be aggressive without reason.
In 1988, in Malawi, I had rented a small boat to go up north to the south of the river Shire, a tributary of Lake Malawi, the national park. In the late afternoon, during the coolest hours, with a smaller boat and reach the shore excursions we did a piedi nel bush.
Se avessero voluto ci were swept away, not only did not, but all the camping equipment left intact as if their passage was a dream. For fear we could not go back to sleep for a while ', and even walked out of the tent. The next day we looked good and get back to camp there: we were warned by their trumpeting. Fortunately, we had to leave for the desert of North Horr.
The tragedy of Mrs. Sharon sparked discussions on safety in Nairobi safari. If you visit a park on foot and meet animals must remain in total silence and not to move. If you're in the car and get good return in the evening on the way back to the lodge. A colleague Cristina, during a safari in Uganda, had a failure the engine of the jeep at dusk and spent the night with his family in the car. But all this has nothing to do with the case of Mrs. Sharon and her daughter had their guide, were near the hotel, were approved on a path. The Kenyan government has declared that it would extend the grant of the ranger rifle outside of national parks: the Castle of the Forest Lodge Nature Trail is just outside of Mount Kenya National Park and the ranger had no gun.
would be better to bring an environmentally sustainable tourism, limiting access to national parks, a serious suppression of poaching and a real control of the territory, but it is not easy because too many people who eat thanks to poaching and bush in the area did not clearly demarcated boundaries and there is no control.
E 'Africa.

I Lost My Wireless Antenna What Can I Do

Stories: Echolight

Echolight: the new frontier of diagnosis of osteoporosis

A software to detect vertebral fractures and an ultrasound system for characterizing bone strength of the spine and allow the diagnosis of osteoporosis: this is the idea of Echolight, the winners of the Cup Start Puglia 2009, which touched the victory of the National Award for Innovation, reaching the top ten finalists. An idea that starts with Lecce, but which has already pocketed the ticket for the Silicon Valley.
We interviewed for you Sergio Casciaro, Director of the Division of Biomedical Engineering, Institute of Clinical Physiology, CNR, Lecce and creator of Echolight.
Interview Francesca Tondi

What is it and how did Echolight?
Echolight is the idea behind the business plan that has participated in the 2009 Start Cup Puglia, allowing you to win the first prize of 15,000 €. The company intends to develop non-invasive medical devices for the diagnosis of osteoporosis and other bone diseases.
The project started some years ago and was given to the proposal for funding under the EU Framework Programme for research, but unfortunately on this occasion was not funded, but we persevered in obtaining the necessary funds for the development of these devices, molto vicini al mercato più che alla ricerca.

Echolight makes the idea of the fundamental innovations in the diagnosis of osteoporosis in terms of effectiveness and costs: diagnosis by ultrasound, we propose makes it possible to provide accurate information about the status of bone density in the column spinal and other site-specific clinical reference. There are already other ultrasound systems, which, however, analyze peripheral sites and therefore not as effective as that of Echolight. Currently, the examination of specific reference sites which usually start in the bone disease, such as the spine or the femoral neck, occurs only through X-rays, but because of the risk due to the use of ionizing radiation, the test can be done only every two years.
Echolight The diagnostic kit that aims to develop, however, is inexpensive, non-invasive, harmless. Furthermore, while the X-ray survey (Dexa through the system) can be carried out only in hospitals or centers, the system could also be broadcast Echolight pharmacies, allowing patients to carry out frequent and without risks .

What is the investment required to develop the idea of Echolight?
A shower of awards, then. Who are the group of people who allowed this?
Echolight's strength is probably the group that comprises: a part of ricerca ed un’anima commerciale.

What motivated you to participate in the Puglia Start Cup 2009?
First of all a moral duty to be present in Puglia and visibility in the area. And the insight he has given us reason, since the victory of the competition, in addition to the € 15,000 prize that will be used to cover part of the costs of incorporation, has enabled us to meet Bari enlightened entrepreneurs, which could finance. Furthermore, it constituted an important opportunity to "certify" the idea and give it legs on which her first steps.
Initiatives such as the Start Cup Puglia can help to encourage young people to do business in Puglia?
Unfortunately, in Puglia, the enterprise culture is weak and the entrepreneurial skills of young people are still too immature or unexpressed. Consider, in fact, that event in Milan Mind The Bridge, was the only company selected Echolight south of Rome.
I believe, therefore, that we need to cultivate the soil for a long time and that initiatives such as the Start Cup will contribute to that aim.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of working in Puglia?
The benefits derive from the beauty of the earth and climate that favor the generation of ideas and ensure a good quality of life. But the disadvantages arising from the difficulty in doing research and the weakness of a business structure in which to assert it.
is often necessary to migrate: I also did research abroad, returning to Italy, I learned about the precarious. Back in Puglia, then, with great difficulty, but also with much enthusiasm, I had to build everything from the basics: from the laboratory, training of staff, to come in search of funding. The figure of the researcher, today, has changed: it must be in step with the times, possess initiative and dynamism.

The same dynamics that led to the CERN in Geneva, EPFL and then again at the center in the U.S. NIH. What are the next steps?
Certainly, the Silicon Valley with Echolight. And then, the road is still to go.
