Entrepreneurship and Crisis

I have witnessed over the past two years numerous round tables and conferences on the crisis: climate crisis, financial crisis, energy crisis , economic crisis, etc.. etc. You can also speak of a crisis business? What can you say about the relationship between imprenditorliatà and crisis? I will try to answer these questions with 5 other questions.
1) What they have in common Genentech, Gap and The Limited? Answer: They all were founded in certain period of recession.
2) What they have in common HP, Polaroid, Revlon, TI? Answer: They were all founded during the Great Depression.

acknowledge the group of boys in the picture below?

Answer: Probably yes. It was 1975, a year of tremendous U.S. recession and inflation at 9% and the group of lunatic visionary founded the Microsoft. In July the same year as the Times headline:

4) What these examples suggest? Answer: that entrepreneurship can not only survive but also prosper in the crisis. And 'This is in fact one of the most important abilities and more systematically supported by the literature scientifica.

5) Can Capitalism Survive the Crisis? Risposta: Can the Crisis survive Entrepreneurship?

Buon Anno a tutti, ovviamente all'insegna della creatività e dell'imprenditorialità!

Pink Spots On Dogs Lower Lip

The red dirt track. Third and last part.

Diani, Saturday, December 18, 2010. Water Lovers Beach Resort. At 5.30 am, still dark, half-hour canoe. The sea is barely wrinkled, black as oil with the reflections of the moon, three quarters of the moon shining. The lapping of oars is in addition to the constant roar of rushing and waves breaking over the reef, it is windy and cloudy. Canoeing in the dark is as mysterious and dark corridors to slip until stands imperious sunlight near the equator that comes in moments. From orange to pink to red, to blinding white, steps are quick, no waiting: the sudden dawn equator.

At 9.00 we leave. The cross-Shimba Hills is soft sand with no rain, red, silent, deserted.

the entrance of the park is Aisha, and when I say, "Good morning, anybody here? "her from her home, away from the office, you place the hair, puts on something, he adds," One moment, please ", jacket military camouflage vest on very disheveled, dry as a nail. While I'm leaving reminds me and gives me his cell number, "so many times you lost, but there is not always camp in the park." "So what?" I say.

I take the road of red sand, narrow, surrounded by a dense thicket of brambles and sharp pungent, quiet ride at 20 miles an hour.

thought I had the day before the holiday, maybe I'd dreamed about at night or unconsciously perceived, what would I do if I met un elefante sulla pista?

Con gli occhi sgranati guardiamo ogni minimo movimento dell’elefante: stops, still eat the leaves on the edge of the runway. I look in the mirror because I am convinced not only that he be present with their parents. The elephant walks toward us again, plug the back ready to retreat back down, I stop, the hand on the exchange because he stops, still eat in the countryside, moves in the bushes, then makes a few yards into the thicket . Wait a few seconds that seem an eternal time, I will not be hasty, I know that he will file past the most dangerous moment, but I do not even delay the start because it could get back on the road, even with the herd. I do not see more than the first graft and silently, then the second extension and a few meters from him. But I have to rifermare immediately. In front of us and placed in the middle of the track, there is a splendid example of adult female, large and intact teeth, stares at us, shakes her trunk, ears flapping, blowing loudly, looking at us again. Time stands still for a while ', the silence is heavy. Suddenly, the mother follows her son for a few yards and just before we go on think again. Not meet the male.

The track continues with beautiful tall trees with white bark, the bottom is rough and sometimes heavy, sometimes soft and fleshy with fine sand and light.

Simba The Rainforest Lodge is made of wood, there is a brick. E ' surrounded by one of the last rainforests of East Africa and is reflected, covered with thick vines and flowering trees on a small pond covered with water lilies.

After lunch, at 14.00, go to the office of the Park to ask for an armed ranger with him and try to reach the Shreddick Falls. The thermometer of the machine gives me 38 degrees. The military guard tells me that the ranger went to Mombasa, sees to find another. It makes a round of phone calls and a few minutes later Lyn, the Kenya Wildlife Service ranger.

It 's a pretty young woman from the face nice and round, long braids and treated, the athletic aspect, green military suit and leather boots black. E 'armed with G3 rifles, caliber 7.62. In the car with us, sits next to me. After half an hour of fast track and dusty stop the car and begin the short trek. It's hot, the sun is scorching. We descend a steep and without vegetation. The sweeping views of the mountains and surrounding hills. We enter a clearing more humid and green and then, after a bridge of wooden beams, we start the journey in the bush. From this moment we are in absolute silence. The first is Lyn, following our daughter, then my wife, I close the row. Lyn goes very slowly and throws the watchful eyes in the bush. Do this for a while ', very slow, then we stopped before a small valley where there are trees.

spotted a group of elephants. They are scattered and not very close together. It 's the same situation this morning with the difference that we are now on foot. Lyn tells us that he will use his gun, shoot the treetops in the west to move the herd. Removes the safety to the G3, aim and shoot. The elephants do not move, then go east into a forest, mixed savanna. We pass in silence, from moving the branches of the trees we sense the location of the herd. The path descends again and the vegetation becomes thick and luxuriant. Waterfalls emerge from a wall of vertical rock, the waters are pristine, the bath under running water cool and pleasant. Lyn puts us quickly. It tells us that on the evening fall groups number of elephants, go it gets complicated. Before the valley without vegetation, the situation is critical. Lyn shot several times and we all hide behind the tall grass to see the passage of the elephants. Finally, still in silence, let the section of the bush and we are on the wooden bridge. The last climb before returning to the car and do a last round as the sun begins to rest on the horizon. We stopped often to see giraffes, warthogs, sable antilopes beautiful, buffalo, large groups of baboons. The night passes in the lodge with bush babies that go on the balcony of the room with noisy groups of colobus. A large group of elephants the night to stop watering.

Nessuna macchina, qualche camion, qualche moto, diverse biciclette. Stranieri zero.

Bionicle Vezon And Kardas Parts

Pisa Marathon ... (Prologue)

Il viaggio inizia con il treno che da Parma porta a La Spezia privo di riscaldamento, la temperatura glaciale costringe me e gli altri quattro malcapitati compagni di viaggio a percorrere avanti e indietro il corridoio per non rischiare l'assideramento, a nulla valgono le proteste con l'unico incolpevole rappresentante delle gloriose fs, ma quando alle condizioni disagiate si aggiunge l'arrivo of a sixth passenger talkative with breath by the Criminal Code, it is total despair!
The change of train on arrival in the Ligurian city keeps me hard to torture, then run away on the train that will take me to Pisa, this fortunately heated.
the passing landscape from the window is typically Siberian but the sky is clear, nothing suggests that in the meantime what happens in and around Tuscany, including those traveling from Rome did not find any difficulty at the moment. The surprise came with the visit to the site of Pisa Marathon where a statement mentioned the possibility of a cancellation of the race, a round of consultations through our local Ultracontatto confirms the weather dramatic. The arrival in Pisa
puts me in front of the harsh reality: apart from the polar temperature, sidewalks and streets covered with a layer of ice, almost glazed, almost difficult to make the same stand ... (Continued)

Marathon Reggio Emilia, between dream and reality

Maybe we needed a race like this to enrich my experience of skinny marathon runner, because one thing is the awareness that may not even happen a day after a preparation for the conscientious and respectful distance, another thing is struggling to live it yard by yard until you get under the inflatable with the same joy as always, nothing heroic charity, will only honor to the end that is Lady 42K Reggio Emilia, with its impeccable organization and warm.
The day had started auspiciously, blue sky is rare in this season, zero humidity, temperature ... idem, ideal conditions for racing.
The building almost deserted when I arrived with the approaching time x becomes increasingly noisy and colorful, laughing and joking with Cyrus, "the ultramaratoneta next door" what did I get even a television interview that I hope is never transmitted, while the people were anxious to conquer the highest places in the bleachers of the grandstand that serves as storage bags: a marathon if they see the end of the beautiful.
Il momento dell'ingresso nella "gabbia" è stato emozionante, il giudice che osserva il pettorale, cenno di assenso, entro, mi guardo intorno, davanti nessuno, solo il nastro biancorosso, dietro un altro nastro ci divide da una folla sterminata, all'interno la prima people who recognize and Ivan Cudin, the winner of Spartathlon a whole series of familiar faces that lead me to wonder "what am I doing here?" I review in a few minutes my whole story from those early and heavy shuffling steps up to Venice, to detract from my trance, the voice of Lightning Rigo even inviting me to go on, behind the line , which can be good for him, I begin to be afraid to go the way of the mythical Autogatto! It is part
, lap of honor in the city, it's early but brave encouraging us are numerous, the first mile passed in 4:12, perfect, I can also slow down slightly as we know il percorso so che la seconda parte nonostante qualche falsopiano si adatta più al mio modo di correre, passo ai 5000 in 21:33 una chiaccherata con uno dei pacer delle tre ore che conosce la mitica Fulminea e via al mio passo, 10K in 42:14 conditi da belle salite, iniziano le prime fitte ma le attibuisco al freddo, proseguo cercando di autoconvincermi arrivando al 15° in 1:03:38 respirazione in affanno a causa dei dolori intestinali ma ritengo la cosa ancora gestibile riuscendo a portarmi alla mezza in 1:29:21 il tifo la musica ed un un attimo di tregua che mi danno l'illusione di una crisi superata le gambe girano benissimo e la consapevolezza di avere ancora margine mi dà fiducia inanello una serie di chilometri perfetti sotto i 4:10 in una delle parti best path, but one kilometer from the rest of the 25 th reproduce the pain and are forced to make a quick detour.
leave without taking me to despair, slowly I can get my hand back several positions but today is the day we leave out the details now the goal is to get there, and I'm not giving up. I isolate the densely stopwatch and observing these landscapes that many runners-metro define monotone, completely bare trees silhouetted against the blue sky, the sun now makes the colors more vivid and contrast is never plowed fields, farmhouses, a portrait winter that always accompanies my long and to which they are attached, are the landscapes che mi hanno visto nascere come maratoneta.
I pose the towel over her shoulders, then the medal around his neck, and compliments information on dining and shower ... 3:17 point something of which I am proud.
fast food to escape the cold expo quell'expo that before departure, I was talking with Cyrus defined as "the hearth around which meets the great family of the Marathon" feel more than ever confirmed in my second participation shower, civilian clothes and just off to do a little cheer for those who must now meet his dream, the joy in these cases is contagious riesco persino a scattare una pessima foto ad Agnese, mentre continuano gli arrivi, poi lo stomaco reclama e la giornata finisce al self service più amato dai maratoneti sia per la cucina che, soprattutto...per le scale!
Ciao Reggio, al 2011!

Leaking Clear Fluid During Period

La Pista di Terra Rossa. Seconda parte.

Anche l’industria Tourism Africa sells very specific and false: the myth of pristine wilderness and the people who live happy and dancing, white coral sand beaches, natural parks where safari venturing into romantic, picturesque markets, emerald green lakes, waterfalls, thriving water, mountains and forests of an enchanted world and now lost in a postmodern and post-industrialization West.
During the 2010 World Cup in South Africa the image of African girls in skimpy clothes sadly predominated in advertising, by African institutions themselves, tourism and local travel agencies.

The idea of the exotic, tempers are the philosophies of Rousseau "noble savage" Wish stormy and dreaming of the European Romantics, the turbid and perverse writings of the French decadent late nineteenth century, the mythic and modern readings of Ernest Hemingway, Joseph Conrad, Karen Blixen. In the literature written by white natives of Africa are just extras and actors are colonists, explorers, hunters, adventurers, coffee farmers from the Western world. These stories are as fascinating as ambiguous and need to understand why we are drawn from Africa, because they were born the myths of the "mal d'Africa". You do not need to understand the identity of the African peoples, on the contrary.

Breath of the stunted glory works of Wole Soyinka, Nobel Laureate 1986, when I lived in Nigeria's, or Naguib Mahfouz, Nobel 1988, or by Nadine Gordimer, Nobel 1991, and will not change the stereotypes of European metaculture Africa.

In June 2008, the Kenyan writer Binyavanga Wainaina published the short essay "How to Write about Africa" (http://www.granta.com/Magazine/92/How-to-Write-about-Africa/Page-1) . The text is satirical and speaks of clichés about Africa. It 'a kind of manifesto, in the form of parody, of what should be avoided when it comes to Africa. In interviews following the publication Wainaina tells of the many foreigners who send the letters to get her lit giudizio, una licenza di scrittura, quasi il permesso di scrivere prima di pubblicare i propri saggi.

In Africa esistono più di duemila lingue e ogni popolo ha la sua specifica identità culture: it is hard to find a common feature of all. Many authors think of music as Richard Dowden suggests in the introduction to his book "Africa. Altered states, ordinary miracles ", but I do not agree. The music changes radically from one country to another.

see Italy on a map. Separated from the rest of Europe from the Alps to our country looks like a bridge stretching out into the Mediterranean to the African continent. With 20 minutes by hydrofoil from Italy you go to the coast of Africa, in Tunis. Yet we know all of New York, its yellow cabs, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center and we know nothing of the continent that lies before us, in a flight cage, and which is great hundred times in Italy.

I do a road trip in the coming days. I have in mind a detour from the main road. Some I recommend it for its great beauty, others say leave it alone. On the one hand there is the possibility to cross a thick jungle, come out on a vast green plateau first and then a rocky encounter herds of elephants in freedom, see the sea from the green hills and breathe in the air.

other hand, if it rained, the road could be a river, the fords of the river difficult, a mud bog unsurpassed, the stretch in the forest full of obstacles, a desert plateau hostile by dry powder.

are one hundred kilometers of red dirt track.

Wedding Invitations Casual Funny

Doing business in Italy? Global

There is, however, a fact that is particularly disappointing and disheartening for young Italians who want to take this path, and structural concerns sensitive issues in the country: the tax burden for businesses.

The World Bank has today published the report Paying Taxes 2011 and the picture one gets is shocking and depressing at the same time in Italy you pay, proportionately, more than 50% more how much it pays on average in other European countries (68.6% versus 44.2%).

How willing spirit of our young people can be encouraged to do business in Italy?

Greek Tortoise For Sale

The red dirt track.

In Italy we speak little of Africa. Even less of Africans in Castel Volturno even the massacre has been forgotten ( http://www.nigrizia.it/sito/notizie_pagina.aspx?Id=10091&IdModule=1 ).
In our country, Africa is often represented by commercials that invite you to charity. On TV or in newspapers appeared the image of a poor child and loser, skinny, skinny, with big eyes and blacks, and the number below the photo of a current account. Africa is associated with the idea of poverty, tragedy, illness and death, the idea of aid: there are thousands of NGOs, NGOs, created to "help the children of Africa." Try to search the Internet, present a distorted image of Africa to mop up funds that do not always reach the people of Africa.
Even in churches on Sundays, they ask money for missionaries in Africa (again with the picture of baby with big eyes and lost).
It 's true, Africa is poor, desperately poor (http://paologls.blogspot.com/2010/02/le-terre-di-nessuno-la-teoria-delle.html ).
It 's also true that the poor, terribly poor, there are also here, in Italy, and there are many. But no mention of these: it hurts the government, which prefers to hide in shame, and self-righteous that it hurts to ignore them as not to disturb their peaceful social peace. In addition, almost all African countries there are many rich and above all very middle class that has the same problems and often the same style of life of our middle class (public or private schools of choice for children, mortgage the house to be paid, rate machine each month). For the average Italian and European African middle class does not exist, there are only Africans to help poor and a rich dictator must be condemned. All the others are not.

Also Africa is not poor at all: gold, oil, diamonds, iron, coal, tin, copper, coltan, timber, fruit, tea, coffee. Africans are often to be poor in a land that is rather quite rich.

Nothingness

Africa is also associated with the idea of Nothing: A day in Rome Trastevere in my school a student of 18 years asked me, school year 2008/2009, "prof, but as unable to make gasoline in Africa? "confirming that the imagination of many young people, Africa is the same as described by the colonialists in the late nineteenth century, a wild and hostile place with no civilization, no space without a shape di alcuna urbanizzazione, le città inesistenti, a benzina introvabile.

sapeva Non il nostro alunno (Capito ... poi l'ha) in Africa esistono che alcune tra le più Grandi metropoli del pianeta: Lagos: 16 million abitanti di: Il Cairo 15 million, 8.5 million Kinshasa, Johannesburg Khartoum e 5 ognuna million, Nairobi, Addis Ababa Alessandria d'Egitto e ciascuna 4 million, Casablanca Abidjan e 3.5, e poi Kano, Ibadan e Città del Capo ciascuna con 3 million, Algeri, Dar es Salam, Dakar, Durban, Luanda, Conakry , Tripoli, Accra, Rabat, Kaduna, Maputo, Freetown, Lubumbashi, Brazzaville, joining, Port Harcourt, Bamako, Antananarivo, Mogadiscio, Kampala e Maiduguri are all huge cities with millions of inhabitants. Moreover, many Italians

retain the image of Africa handed down by the propaganda of the colonial past: a land of savages who were waiting anxiously to be freed civilization from barbarism. Of Africa is still little known: "Hic sunt leones" wrote the cartographers of the Middle Ages on the maps of the time not knowing what else to imagine.

How do you deny that the white fascination for travelers in Africa was made precisely with the unknown, from large areas unexplored by nature as hostile as incredibly beautiful? Even now, descriptions of Africa focus on the magnitude of the vast savannas, deserts and forests, the skies of puffy clouds low on the move, and colorful on the intractable forms of vegetation barely crossed by narrow and mysterious trails of red earth. Me too, sometimes, happen to move me if I am driving on a red dirt track in the middle of a dense forest. I like it when I can overcome the worst case due to my rather worn guidance system. Sometimes I cross the street and a dik-dik, a group of ostriches running beside me, meeting with the quick look at a family of elephants, I stop the car, turn off the engine, listening absorbed the sounds of the natural world, walking in silence to follow a herd of animals and observe closely, il cuore che batte.

E poi un pick-up Toyota. E tanti bambini.

Color Of Cervical Fluid Right Before Period

False alarm and 12 Trophy Barezzi

Indolenzimenti vari attribuiti alla fatica, poi giovedì scorso un dolorino al ginocchio Right near the end of the training convinced me to walk the last stretch of road walking trying to understand its origin. Ice, but does not pass, a nagging presence, especially during the support which makes me think more trauma than to other causes, and a nice spread with Voltaren, occlusive dressing and so on.
The day after just a soreness, and our thoughts turn immediately to the shoes and some training hurry without adequate cool-down or stretching decide to stay at rest, however, trying to catch every signal coming from the joint penalized, suspend the application to see if the pain increases, fortunately not.
Saturday the experiment runner by crowds at the foot of the Trabuco, my shoes armored trail, short and light travel, time enough to decide the condemnation of the Supernova Glide: sufficient mileage but poor performance sudden and brutal.
Encouraged by the verdict of acquittal for the knee, is also doubtful with a formula I come on Sunday morning at the start of the 12th Trofeo Barezzi, half-marathon through the streets of the neighborhood Benedetta di Parma, with the intention to "do good" , so after a short warm-started from the back looking only to the sensations that seem to good fortune, around the tenth kilometer I'm sure the narrow escape, the knee smiles, then the legs start running a nice progression that will take me to the finish line in 1:25:40, the prize now is to continue to run without problems ... Nimbus I come back to you, run!

Forgot My Combination To My Master Lock

Come creare startup in Italia

It 's true that to create innovative startup success must leave Italy? What are the prospects for those who remain in our country? What you can do and what not?

are some of the questions that a handful of young "startuppari" will try to answer during the event organized by style barcamp Spreaker to stimulate reflection and debate on "doing business in Italy." Among the Participants of the founders of the young and ambitious companies including: Xmatch , Balsamiq , Mashapa , Koinema , Econoetica .

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 16 to 18.30 at the Artery, Vicolo Broglio, 1 - Bologna. All details here .

take advantage of this post to report the case of our readers Spreaker , startup that is burning through the stages of a technology platform that allows users to become real DJs creating and broadcasting its radio programming. In short, a sort of radio Youtube. The business model focuses on inserting commercials into the custom designed radio and run by users.

Less than a year after the founding Spreaker now has to his credit DJs around 10,000 to 100,000 listeners. An indication of the potential of this model, just last week Italian Angels for Growth (the largest community of Business Angels in Italy) has announced that it has concluded a round of funding of 250,000 euro to Spreaker.

not hide that I write this post with a touch of pride as Spreaker was founded with the support of our incubator AlmaCube after winning last year Start Cup of Bologna, whose committee I had the pleasure of joining.

Congratulations guys and keep it up!

What Should My 5.1 Stereo Receiver Have?

Le migliori 30 sotto i 30

This post will talk about entrepreneurs.
Young Entrepreneurs.
To be precise: under 30 years.

Inc magazine publishes rankings for 2010 of the most interesting 30 companies founded by entrepreneurs under 30 (in U.S.) and looking at the list I think there are a number of comments you need to do.

20 of these enterprises may be set technology because the product or service is made possible by computers and / or technical advances.
Contrary to what the vulgate Innovation says, only one of these ( AlterG ) is the result of product innovation. A couple of other companies are based on the development of proprietary algorithms and codes, while all the remaining base their competitiveness mainly on business model innovation .

The most important (and probably the least surprising to those interested in entrepreneurship) is that most business is web-based (well 17), because we want the services or products offered using the web channel or why client applications running on the network offerings (eg: the app for smartphones). The reason for this is absolutely not surprising that the cost of a start-up web-based human capital is reduced to the voice and little else. Examples of young people (these forthcoming) successful entrepreneurs in this category are on the agenda (from the new phenomenon Facebook Prezzemolina Foursquare - also in the ranking of 30 - to SCVNGR , etc.) Then there

'is the data that could turn up their noses at most of those involved in innovation: 20 are technology companies, as many as 10 companies in sectors continue to be "traditional." And for traditional
mean that you move from dresses to Astor & Black the gherkins McClure's Pickles Pickled to the store for lovers of embroidery CityCraft .

At the end of this analysis, I wondered what would emerge if comparing these 30 with the Italian counterparts, but I was stopped immediately by a rather important question: who are our 30 under 30?

you launch a proposal: why do not we compile our list of excellence?

IO DA GRANDE VOGLIO FARE L’IMPRENDITORE!

In the collective is clear the moment when the child is asked "What do you want to be?" The most popular answers are always the same: "Astronaut," "Fireman" "Players," "Doctor", etc.. etc.

not it be nice if some kid answered, "I grow up I want to make the farmer!"

Think of the benefits of an educational model that celebrates the passion for an idea, the talent, do-it-yourself, the courage to get involved, action orientation, the value of the team, the company as a continuation of a vision. Would not it be great?

Unfortunately, the role of the entrepreneur in Italy is still lived with caution and suspicion, partly because of a system that tends to give high visibility cases of bad entrepreneurship neglecting the case studies that should be central of media attention as models for future generations.

But perhaps things are changing. I learn today with enthusiasm the news that the pilot project "Your business idea, promoted by Confindustria and the Ministry of Education to become more entrepreneurial culture on schools, has passed the pilot phase and will soon be extended nationwide. This is a format that brings the "startup company 's" in the classroom with a competition between secondary schools. After two pilot issues involving 25 schools and over 2000 students, teachers and entrepreneurs, Confindustria extends 's initiative to the rest of the country and for the' school year 2010/2011 The project will be implemented in the provinces of Alessandria, La Spezia, Livorno, Varese, Florence, Rome, Perugia, Chieti, Bari, Barletta Andria Trani, Cosenza. I think it is a wonderful initiative. All details can be found on the site www.latuaideadimpresa.it

On the importance of educating children to entrepreneurship will also note this speech given by Cameron Herold for TED. Cameron is a serial entrepreneur and a "free thinker", founder of companies like 1-800-GOT-JUNK genius? which today has over 2,000 employees.

Listen, it's provocative and witty, but above all very stimulating. You take the court ...

At the start the pace is high now, or rather, as part disappeared in the last few races and wait for the bang, but apparently I'm well calibrated load and unload, I can stand the pace of my points of reference, not easy of course, but judging by the breaths that I hear around me there is no easy running around.
How much effort on this distance! Just a nothing to lose seconds, completed the three rounds are all trying to increase the pace, you struggle to centimeters, at my side the tenant of the upstairs of the Championship provincial overtakes me, I can catch him but I no longer have, and despite the mutual invitations to "play" in the last section are still forced to give up coming in 38:01 on my new personal distance, 37 as in the picture, I closed the door in his face but are far from disappointed, great weather and good fight, the next one!

Does Tia Mowry Wear Weave

Etica e Impresa

Per prima cosa la creazione d'impresa è vista come motore dell'economia: sotto il profilo dell'occupazione (creazione di posti di lavoro), in terms of innovation (technological and human capital building) and in terms of community support (more an economy is thriving, the more the community benefits from the use of tax revenues related to these production companies and their contribution direct donations and corporate social responsibility initiatives).
Historically, enterprise creation (thanks to the contribution of the Austrian school of economics

) was seen as a mechanism related to balancing the market: for Schumpeter the creative destruction (business creation) allows the market to reach a temporary equilibrium (see
Kirzner entrepreneur , disclosing and seizing opportunities for arbitrage is not exploited by others, contribute to the rebalancing of the market (or, at least, to its general trend), for
Lachmann is the subjectivity of the individual that allows the creation of entrepreneurial opportunities through the continuous combination and recombination of knowledge and intermediate goods. While reflecting three different approaches, the quid trigger entrepreneurial action is the presence or the creation of opportunities.
It is, therefore, opportunities for entrepreneurs.

And if the business creation was a necessary and unavoidable choice for those who lost their jobs, has found it difficult to reintegrate into the labor market?

In this perspective, if we have their implicit contextual conditions of the American system, where any failure is not socially stigmatized (but on the contrary is often frowned upon by the investors - venture capital, angel and whatever ' other) and where it prefers an approach to a
interventivista wait with regard to the dynamics markets (in this case, the workplace). However, it is marked contrast to the slow adopted to explain the phenomenon of entrepreneurship in different cultural contexts. E 'to be expected that this perspective to take root in an Italy where the labor market (especially for young people) is difficult to access, a source of frustration and low wages? If this can help change the approach to the labor market of young Italians (particularly graduates) and contribute, thus, innovation and business start-up time, so be it.

Fare impresa: opportunità o necessità?

The creation of new scientific knowledge and their transfer to areas of application technological and manufacturing an opportunity for economic and productive system: new business for new employment. Concrete experiences and practices of technology transfer will be presented and discussed at the seminar "from universities to industry: the role of cross-nanotechnology" to be held November 15th at 10:30 at the Museum of the Oratorio di San Giovanni Battista Florence to Bologna. Here

attached the event program.

Academic Entrepreneurship is a topic of primary interest given the potential for technological innovation of some scientific research developed in universities.

. Steve, along with a group of investors, has recently founded DreamIt Ventures, a company that has a business model that has traits of genius. The idea is pretty simple: how many people, especially young people, have an entrepreneurial idea, but need (few) resources and comparison with experienced entrepreneurs (mentors) to start your own business? DreamIt Ventures offers an answer to this question: If your idea is selected from the group's managing partner and mentor, the team's potential entrepreneurs are given a space in the open space of the headquarters of DreamIt Ventures for the 3 summer months. For each team is given a sum of money depends on several factors (size of the team, the complexity of the idea ...) and unlimited access to advice / comparison with the mentor program. Purpose: To have a product or at least a beta version by the end of 3 months and be self-sufficient financially. Difficult task? Certainly, but not impossible: indeed we are talking about entrepreneurship. And to show how the model works, there are already examples of success and SCVNGR

Artists & Artists.

It 's a Sunday in September 2002. Arzachena, returned to normal after the chaos of the summer (we are on the Costa Smeralda) is an important day: celebrating the patron saint and the country is in fibrillation between religious rituals and fringe events which should culminate with the highly anticipated concert Raf.
I say why should a few hours after the singer gives lump sum, there are murmurs because of cachet and citizenship can be found with the part of the pagan festival of Attraction no principal. As it happens some time here a person who resides with the music familiar , and that, upon request or voluntarily, it is not known, (but free) is offered to plug "the hole" going up on stage and giving the lucky present an unforgettable event, in world premiere!
definitely an artist with a capital.

I vincitori della StartCup di Bologna

As usual by netiquette, we shall in this capacity 2.0. First of all I want to thank Simone
Ferriani for thinking of this opportunity and wanted to involve me in person. Under dela my position as a post-doc at the
Farrell Center for Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation under the supervision of
Raghu Garud and through daily interaction with the center's director, Anthony Warren
, I have the opportunity to be exposed to a multitude of stimuli from both spheres of the phenomenon, the academic and professional. My intention at this as a "scout" in the USofA, will bring direct experience and information of what happens in the field of entrepreneurship in the continent (but not only) and present some results of academic research that may help to understand a phenomenon as fascinating as complex as that of entrepreneurship.
See you soon and enjoy!

Un saluto

Here we go! This post decreed the official birth of AlmaVenturing
a blog dedicated to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs.
In my dual role as researcher and lecturer of 'Alma Mater Studiorum (University of Bologna) over the past years I have had the pleasure to interact constantly with students, managers, entrepreneurs and professional investors. The lesson I drew from these exchanges is simple. Entrepreneurship is a subject that arouses great curiosity, if not real passion. This is witnessed, academic side, the proliferation of courses and publications devoted to this subject, and the business side, the literal explosion of events and initiatives to stimulate the formation of new enterprises through business plan competitions, incubators, bootcamps, riconosciemnti public etc.
and I realize that 'an ambitious goal but I also enjoy a privileged perspective, thanks especially to a University and a group of colleagues at the Department of Management

, which has long undertake to enhance and promote the culture of entrepreneurship, both scientifically and institutionally. I cite but a few. The University of Bologna is the first nationally to introduce
StartCup
, the business plan competition for new high content technology. A model now prevalent in all major Italian universities. To the university in Bologna, it must also create the first university business incubator at the national level, AlmaCube , founded with the goal of encouraging technology transfer to the University market. Always head to our university and in this case with my colleague Prof. Gianni Lorenzoni is the chair of PNICube , the Association of Incubators and Business Plan Competition Italian academic. To all this, then joins a tradition of significant research and teaching at undergraduate, graduate and executives on topics such as entrepreneurship, business plan and business creation. In short, to paraphrase Newton, it is appropriate to say that "we stand on the shoulders of giants
.

Surrounded by all these positive externalities arises therefore
AlmaVenturing
, a blog with the goal of intercepting and share ideas, research, trends and events useful to anyone interested, for professional or personal curiosity, the world 's entrepreneurship. Without incidental but significant
AlmaVenturing born in correspondence with the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 , global entrepreneurship week sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, which will take place in Italy, as in the rest of the world, 15 to 21 November. But of this we will have ample opportunity to write the next post. As good practice, behind every self-respecting startup can not miss a team of fanatics. The team AlmaVenturing includes, besides myself, Matt Filippelli, PhD student at the Department of Business and expert in social media and Paco Giuliani, post-doc at Penn State University, our scout in America. Then there is an extended team, which involves first of all our colleagues who are passionately involved in entrepreneurship and / or themes contiguous, and in particular I think Bugamelli Fabrizio, Gianni Lorenzoni, Rosa Grimaldi, Alessandro Grandi, Cristina Boari, Riccardo Fini e Laura Toschi, a cui esprimiamo sin da ora gratitudine per il sostegno e i suggerimenti che ci potranno offrire in questa avventura.

Enjoy!

It was a Saturday in October, 23 to be precise, the mysterious protagonist of our story had met in Venice center, marathon, to be confused with ordinary runners get there from everywhere, but any attempt to camouflage had collapsed before the ill-concealed excitement, and our soon took possession of the Expo arousing curiosity and puzzled looks from group photos and hubbub soon became the real attraction of evening.

Port Royale 2 V1.1.0patch

15 ° Memorial Gasparini 12.7K stew.

Arrivato in ritardo causa litigio con letto e ora legale rimango invischiato in una fila modello C.C.C.P. per le iscrizioni, (trecento alla departure) for the exposures of the lucky Fidal are quite fast and so time passes talking " indovinatedichecosa " heating and then a quick way to test the legs a week after the marathon.
Departure reckless kamicaze model, but come on, have fun! First steep descent is easy to fly, however the legs are better than I expected, we think the puddles to keep the muscles in a cool, but in the long fatigue emerges and are forced to land on the shores chronometric more relaxed, although this can not too many positions to move back and introduce myself to the finish line in 49:25 to 3:53 in the media forty-third position, some complained about the rain, but to avoid curling there, you sweat even less!
long runs!.
PS got home I found already the 'e-mail with the official timing (staff), the ranking to 15 was online, great!

La guerra di gennaio 2011

Isola di Lamu, Kenya. Il proprietario dell’albergo di Shela non è preoccupato per la costruzione the new port. A little ', I believe, not to create the idea that Lamu is "over" from one point of view, the eco-tourism, a little' because he thinks the time is extended as often happens in Africa. Lamu will be built right here at one of the largest ports in Africa. The agreement was signed by President Mwai Kibaki of Kenya and the Chinese premier Hu Jintao. The project is in execution phase and Manda Bay surveyors and bulldozers are already at work. Because they want to build this port in an archipelago rich in history and a pristine sea water? The only way to make a jump of nearly a thousand miles and turn our attention to Juba, South Sudan. There and in South Sudan January 9, 2011 there will be a referendum on the independence of the South from the rest of the country. After 50 years of occupation and persecution by the government in Khartoum is easy to assume that the entire population (excluding the 10% of Muslims) votes for independence. The South Sudan will certainly support the UN with a few exceptions (the current peace process in Sudan is monitored by the UN). There will be big celebrations and the guerrillas of the Sudan People's Liberation Front will shoot in the air for the victory gained after decades of war. Even the large Christian community in South Sudan (25% of the population) will pull a sigh of relief after years of massacres, attacks and persecution. In the mainly animist and Christian South will return to the freedom of worship. The independence will mark the end of the attempt to forced Islamization of the territory. The war waged by the fundamentalist Islamic regime in Khartoum against the people of the South was an attempt at genocide of 2.5 million dead and a million displaced people and refugees. The new state will be recognized by the nations of the world, primarily from the West. The new state will be much courted because South Sudan is responsible for almost all Sudanese oil and is rich in mineral deposits and precious. All right, then? Apparently with the independence and peace will come even greater prosperity. In Juba, capital of South Sudan, capital will come from all over the world. The proceeds of oil and other mineral extraction activities will enrich the coffers of the nascent state and create opportunities for investment and profit. To reach Juba businessmen, entrepreneurs, brokers, and helpers, for the new diplomatic representations. But the odds are that Juba is filled also with spies, agents, envoys and military attaches who have no intention of supporting the independence of the new country. There is a significant detail: oil for export to South Sudan passes through the center and ends at Port Sudan. If there is independence South is hard to think that the rest of the country allow the passage through its territory without batting an eyelid. It will not be easy to find an agreement and this is not what you can expect from the government of President Omar Al Bashir Khartoum. General Bashir took power in his country in 1989 with a coup, closed all the newspapers and political parties taking total control of every legislative and executive power. Ally of the National Islamic Front Sharia puts in place in 1991 and has since conducted a policy of extermination against the Christians of the South July 14, 2008 was indicted by the International Criminal Court for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed especially against the defenseless people of Darfur. On March 4, 2009 was issued a warrant for her arrest, but the Arab League, many African countries and China have criticized the decision making in practice non-executive director. Last August, in fact, Bashir was present in Nairobi at the official ceremony for the new Kenyan constitution, but the authorities have given orders to arrest him. Bashir is a man afraid because we know his ability to organize guerrilla movements in every African country. It is said that the Ethiopian Prime Minister Melles Zennawi has said "should be arrested, but ask anyone who has the day after the border war." E 'logical thinking, then, that the future Government of South Sudan should organize itself to refine and market oil and gas building up an alternative line to Port Sudan. The project of a railway hub on the road with oil pipe line is a reality. Involve South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. Among the other from Port Sudan in Juba are 800 kilometers away from Juba to Lamu are only 725 km. There is already the full support of the Americans and Chinese. The company has major contracts to build in expectations is the German ThyseenKrupp Gleistechicnik TFG and the American Ayr Logistics will manage the funds. The construction will involve the economies of the four countries concerned. Ethiopia is planning to build a road axis and transport related oil in Lamu because Djibouti is close to paralysis and the outlets to the sea in Somalia and Eritrea are useless or inappropriate (Assab Ethiopia is unusable after the war of 2000 and the ports are under the control of the Somali Islamic Courts or pirates). The port of Lamu Kenya is not just an option, but a clear example of the global economy. After January 9, 2011 the project will become official and, from a political point of view as well as economic, will find some sponsors in World Bank, in the Obama administration, in Europe and the Western world, India and China. Axis Juba-Nairobi-Addis Ababa is any opposition to the axis Asmara-Khartoum-Al Quaeda Somalia.

A parte i tratti di ferrovia in Uganda che potranno easily be connected to the project (from Gulu and Tororo in Uganda in Eldoret, Kenya), the rest is to be built. The track is already done and is in the natural conformation of the territory, you can not cross the Lake Turkana, will be around Mount Kenya to go down along the route of the River Tana. The Ethiopians, however, unable to cross the valley of the Omo River and Moyale reinforce the point of the road that goes up to Mega Awasa. It 'obvious that the works of such size and lend importance to considerations on the theme of sustainable development. E 'reasonable to assume that the economy of the four macro-regions (Southern Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia) can benefit and pulse development. It 'also logical to think that a work like this could change and partly destroying delicate natural ecosystems that are unique in the world. It 's easy to imagine that the construction will involve the local population, many will find jobs, but many lose and pasture lands, waters and land. There will be blocks and forced deportations. It makes me think of the Borana of Ethiopia, the Pokot of Kenya, the Nuer and Dinka of Sudan, just to name a few. Their lives will probably be sacrificed to the demands of global development, the profit of big corporations Chinese, Indian, American, German. The other day I signed a petition calling on the Government of Tanzania not to build highway within the Serengeti National Park. Certainly the Juba-Lamu road provoke reactions and revolts by local people and environmental groups. A rise Lamu East Africa's largest port for container shipping and oil platforms will be constructed for docking tankers and transfer of oil and gas from South Sudan. Modern 4-lane highway will connect the South Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya allowing the trade of oil and the supply of fuel involved in macro-and export worldwide. The trade between the regions will enjoy a big boost: FRUIT Oromo lands, Ugandan banana plantations, cattle plateau, coffee, marble, granite, timber, building materials from China and India, chemical derivatives of hydrocarbons will go to support the development of remote areas has always been closed to development. On the other hand, the beautiful beaches lapped by crystal clear emerald sea at Lamu and Manda will disappear or will be covered in other colors. The dhows, fishing boats in the local style with wooden carved prows ensure that fishing and the transportation of passengers from island to island in the archipelago, will become a faded memory in the photos taken by tourists today. The fauna and flora of the sea will be destroyed by discharges tar, and fuel.

Discount for many Europeans say no to a certain type of development, but equally easy to forget that oil for cars that turn on every day is in large part from Africa such as minerals that serve our laptops and cell phones. It 's easy to forget that we Europeans have also destroyed our continent cutting the immense forest that covered many centuries ago, the whole of Europe and was first sacrificed to pasture and agriculture, and then to urbanization. Easy for us to say to Africans or Brazilians: "Save the forests", but claiming that the poor nations is economic development and welfare that we have already largely achieved but at the cost of immense anthropological and environmental devastation.

Population pressure and the ruthless power of global capitalism are opening a new page, fascinating and sad, dramatic history of Africa.

I think clearly and disenchanted realism, but also with a vein of nostalgia for Africa that no longer exists or that is disappearing. I think as a kayak, ably led by Abdul, leads us to sail from island to island of the archipelago of Lamu. What do you think, ask him the draft of the new port? "We spoil the" use these words, "our resources, of life itself. All the fishermen, "he says," are against, we're okay with tourists and fishing, the new port for oil we do not need, we will oppose, Allah is great ".
